Fueled by passion for the sciences, Dr. Rhodes knew she wanted to be a physician from a young age. She attended The University of Texas followed by Texas Tech University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and has been practicing in the Houston area since 1992. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In February 2017, she completed a Master of Science in Health Care Delivery from Dartmouth College.
Dr. Rhodes enjoys taking care of women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. She partners with each of her patients to develop a personalized plan of care which focuses on immediate concerns as well as any other general health issues. Her goal is to help her patients lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
Areas of expertise include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, single-site hysterectomy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, myomectomy, abnormal Pap smears, HPV disease, LEEP, well woman exams, menopause, hormone replacement therapy, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, vaginal infections, vulvar disease, contraceptive counseling, IUD insertion & removal, subdermal contraceptive implant insertion and removal, sterilization, breast disease and cancer survivorship.
When not taking care of patients, Dr. Rhodes enjoys gardening, traveling, exercising, cooking, sailing, scuba diving, water sports, and being outside. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
