About Dr. Rhodes

Fueled by a love of science and a desire to help others, Dr. Rhodes knew she wanted to be a physician from a young age. She attended the University of Texas from 1980-1984 followed by Texas Tech University School of Medicine from 1984-1988. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1992 and has been practicing in the Houston area ever since. Dr. Rhodes obtained board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995 and maintains this certification on an annual basis. In 2017, she completed a Master of Science in Healthcare Delivery.

Dr. Rhodes enjoys taking care of women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. She partners with each of her patients to address immediate gynecologic concerns as well as other health issues. Her goal is to help her patients lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Dr. Rhodes’ areas of expertise include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery using a single incision, management of abnormal Pap smears, well woman exams, menopause care, hormone replacement therapy, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, vaginal infections, vulvar disease, contraceptive counseling, STI testing & counseling, IUD insertion & removal, Nexplanon insertion & removal, sterilization, breast disease and cancer survivorship.

In addition to taking care of patients in her private practice, Dr. Rhodes travels to rural New Mexico each month to provide care to women served by a Critical Access Hospital. She also serves as Medical Director for area plasmapheresis centers.

Dr. Rhodes enjoys exercising, gardening, traveling, sailing, scuba diving, swimming, tennis, hiking and being outside. Her greatest joy comes from the time she spends with her family and friends.
